Mindful Journal

Sunny knows the feeling of depression. It is when you can feel frozen under the most comfortable summer sunshine; it is when your eyes see nothing in the most beautiful wonderland; it is when all the wonderful things in your life loose meaning to you. Every moment of living can become pure torture, and most of the time, our suffering come from the uncontrollable outside world. There are two questions sunny has asked herself many times, “why do I have to suffer when I am not doing something wrong?” “Why do I have to bear more pains inside than outside?”

When Sunny started journaling, diary became her best friend, a friend she can always trust, talk with and share. She wrote down her pain and joy; she wrote down her struggles and discoveries. Now, after several years, she wants to share some of her writings with people who may share similar experiences, who long for the joy and peace in this real life. Sunny will appreciate all the people who read her writing and sincerely wish that they are happy, safe and healthy. If by reading the stories from sunny, people, if just one, can start his/her journey to a more happy life, sunny will be very happy about it.

Story after the Story of Canada Geese

Suddenly, I became the goose lady, after I told my Story of Canada Goose in front of 80 peoples who attended the 5 days mindfulness tool for stress reduction retreat in Four Point hotel, Norwood MA. They loved the story and made me a star. In the following days, I was shocked by the unexpected popularity and had a very unique experience.

The Story of Canada Goose

Several beautiful ponds are located near our neighborhood. Vermonter’s passion for nature keeps these ponds away from pollution and cultivation. These are the places you can find beavers working on their dams, great blue herons hunting their prey and wild ducks making the splash. They are tough wild animals which adapt to the environment very well. Even a busy road like Kennedy Drive, a main road connecting to the airport, doesn't bother too much to their lives. With the background of traffic noise, you can still hear the birds singing and watch the beavers swimming. In the summer, the visit of Canada geese puts more tones to this nature symphony and has become one of the featured summer scenes in South Burlington. They attracted many residents including my family in the past two years and left so many interesting stories.

Kite in the park

Blue sky, white clouds, budding trees and blooming flowers, this is the most beautiful time in Vermont. Golden sunlight, fresh breeze, singing birds and shining grasses, this is the best time to be outside. Drawn by the beautify weather, we run out of the house and charge for the park. With his favorite space-shuttle- kite in hand, my boy can’t wait to fly it in the park.

A List of Nothing In Particular Bad

Sunday morning, my husband’s voice comes through the MSN window on computer screen. Having been physically stuck in China since last year, on line MSN with his wife and son in USA become his life support. His application to reenter USA has been under administration check for more than one year while usually this kind of cases took several weeks. Until now, no other word than a simply “pending” we can get from the Department of State USA.
